Worldcon

Всемирный конвент научной фантастики или кратко Worldcon (англ. The World Science Fiction Convention) — ежегодный научно-фантастический конвент, впервые проведённый в 1939 году (конвент не проводился с 1942 по 1945 года, во время Второй мировой войны)[1]. Является самым популярным и старым среди подобных конвентов[2][3], проводится под патронажем Всемирного общества научной фантастики (англ. World Science Fiction Society, WSFS). Члены WSFS выбирают место проведение конвента, который пройдёт через два года, а с 1955 года голосованием определяют победителей престижной премии «Хьюго», которых объявляют на Worldcon.
