Standing Alone - второй сингл певца Томаса Андерса с альбома Down On Sunset, записанный в дуэте с популярным американским певцом Гленном Медейросом.

Предыстория

В мае 1992 года Томас Андерс познакомился с американским певцом Гленном Медейросом, чей хит 1986 года "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" был на вершине популярности по всему миру, в Лос Анджелесском баре. [1] [2] Певцы подружились, у них спонтанно родилась идея записать и выпустить песню дуэтом. [3] Спустя всего неделю песня была готова. Затем последовали съемки видеоклипа и совместные телевизионные выступления. Сотрудничество было продолжено в 1994 году, когда для альбома Томаса Андерса Barcos de cristal была записана испанская версия этого сингла, которая получила название "Tu chica es mi chica".

Запись сингла

Песня "Standing Alone", в тексте которой идет речь о двух молодых людях, влюбленных в одну девушку, и соревнующихся за ее сердце, была написана Lee York, Rick Lane, Mike Shepstone. На сингле в качестве би-сайда представлена песня "Thru With Love ", написанная Peter Ries (под псевдонимом Marc Cassandra), Thomas Anders (под псевдонимом Chris Copperfield), Mike Shepstone.

Выход сингла сопровождался активной промо-кампанией, включавшей ТВ-выступления с "живым" исполнением песни. Был снят красочный видеоклип. Это позволило сингу достичь 72го места в немецких чартах.
