История группы

Группа Nonpoint это — вокалист Элиас Сориано, барабанщик Роб Ривера, гитарист Эндрю Голдмен и басист Кей Би. А началось все так: в 1997 году барабанщику группы Робу Риверре пришла в голову идея создания новой тяжелой группы. Он переезжает во Флориду и именно там начинает собирать новую команду, которую называет Nonpoint Factor. Здесь он встречает уроженца Нью-Джерси Элиаса Сориано. Парень отлично подходит на роль вокалиста и Роб берет его в команду. Как расскажет потом Элиас, он проникся любовью к музыке после посещения концерта известной пуэрто-риканской группы Puya.

Всё в том же 97-ом в группу приходят еще двое: басист Кей Би и гитарист Эндрю Голдмен. Оба парня — бывшие участники флоридской группы Fuse. Первым диском группы стал «Separate yourself», ставший популярным среди местного населения.

Nonpoint быстро удалось завоевать популярность в США. Их пластинки быстро раскупались, а сами ребята стали очень известны на американской ню-метал сцене. Они приобрели популярность и тысячи поклонников.
