The Redskins — британская рок-группа, образовавшаяся в 1982 году в Йорке, Англия, придерживавшая леворадикальных взглядов и исполнявшая политизированный панк-рок с элементами соул и рокабилли, активно используя духовые инструменты в аранжировках. Трое основных участников состава — певец и гитарист Крис Дин (известный как X. Moore; этим же псевдонимом он подписывал и свои статьи в NME), басист Мартин Хьюз и ударник Ник Кинг — были одновременно скинхедами и активными членами Социалистической рабочей партии Великобритании[1].

История группы

Первый сингл группы — Lev Bronstein — вышел в 1982 году на лейбле CNT и был посвящён Льву Троцкому. 10 июня 1984 во время выступления группы на неё напала группа наци-скинхедов.

Дебютный альбом группы Neither Washington Nor Moscow поднялся до #31 в UK Albums Chart[2]. Cингл группы «Lean on me» (1983) и The Peel Session EP (1987) становились инди-хитами[1]; ещё 4 сингла входили в Top 75 UK Singles Chart: «(Burn It Up) Bring It Down! (This Insane Thing)» в 1985 году достиг #33[2].
